Espiritu

Born in 1993, a very dark bay 15.1 ½ homebred stallion by the black high school stallion, Churumbel II, out of Sienna, an Andalusian x TB mare (by Quality Fair), who is sadly no longer with us.

Espiritu has proved himself in the show ring time and time again. Competing at the BAPSH Breed Show in 1995 he has won the best colt, best partbred under 3 years and best owner bred.
His temperament is second to none and can be handled by children whilst in the field with his herd. A truly wonderful stallion who passes his good looks and docility onto his offspring.
He is approved by BAPSH for breeding and so all his stock are eligible for registration. His fertility is 100% to date and he has produced over 35 stunning foals.

His sire Churumbel performed for 10 years with the High School display team El Caballo De España, appearing at many prestigious venues including Blenheim 3 Day Event, The Royal Windsor Horse Show and The Horse of the Year Show at Wembley Arena. He also won many championship titles including 3 times National Ridden Champion, twice Champion Classical Performance Horse and numerous Breed Show championships . He featured in several magazine articles, made television appearances, and even appeared on national German Television in an advert for Palmolive Washing up liquid!
We feel very privileged to have two of his offspring, Espiritu and our foundation PRE mare Mariquita CR. Churumbel spent his last months here at Aztec Stud, after his owner Anita entrusted him to us when she emigrated to Australia. He sadly passed away shortly before his 30th birthday but will be remembered as a true ambassador for the purebred Spanish horse.
Espiritu's dam Sienna, was by the top HIS premium TB stallion Quality Fair and out of an imported Andalusian mare called Fiesta. Sienna competed successfully in Working Hunter classes at County level and in her later years she was a champion in-hand, beating much younger horses.
